Some of our guided hiking itineraries:
- Fortini Coastal Walk: This is one of the most stunning walks on the Capri Island that hugs the coastline of Anacapri all the way from the Grotta Azzurra to Punta Carena. Along the way you will find a series of old blockhouses or “fortini”: the Orrico, Mesola and Pino blockhouses were built by the British in 1806 and amplified by the French, after the battle of Orrico in 1808.
- Pizzolungo Walk: We will start heading east out of Capri Town to the Arco Naturale, a curious eroded-limestone arch dating back to the Paleolithic era. After that you’ll pass the Grotta di Matermània, a giant natural cave used by the Romans as a nymphaeum. Down the path, on the Punta Massullo promontory, you can see Villa Malaparte, the former holiday home of Tuscan writer Curzio Malaparte. Carrying on, the sea views become increasingly impressive as the path continues westward around the lower wooded slopes of Monte Tuoro. The last stop is the Belvedere di Tragara, a prime viewing point for the Faraglioni.
- Monte Solaro: The highest and most panoramic point on the Capri Island located at 589 meters above sea level. From its heights, visitors enjoy sweeping views over the Faraglioni rock formations and the center of the town of Capri, and as far afield as the Sorrento Peninsula, the Galli islands, and the whole of the Gulf of Naples.
Please note that:
The excursions are not suitable for those suffering from heart problems or knees problems. We recommend to be prepared with sportswear and trekking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses and a bottle of water.
